The show will consist of two casts which will perform on alternate dates. Rehearsals are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays 7-9pm.

Heather Kennedy is directing this year’s show with musical direction again from Clare Wyatt and Robert Elmore.  Heather recently directed the Footlight Christmas Show at the Village Museum, and has been in several productions of Footlight’s including Miss Hannigan “Annie”, and the loveable housekeeper Katey in “Meet Me in St. Louis”.  Clare was part of last year’s Vaudeville and Robert Elmore has provided musical direction to Vaudeville in the past years along with being musical director for many of Footlight’s Fall shows.

For over 30 years, Footlight has been producing Vaudeville in conjunction with the Burnaby Village Museum. It’s a great opportunity for performers to gain solo and performance experience typically not afforded in larger shows. This year’s show anticipates even larger audiences as the City of Burnaby has just announced free admission to the Burnaby Village Museum for the summer.  That’s right free admission. What a better way to entertain the family or summer vacation visitors than coming to see the show and tour this living historical museum.

The Vaudeville show runs Fathers Day to Labour Day every Sunday afternoon at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.  Additional performances can be seen on Canada Day, BC Day and Labour Day.

Auditions will be on Tuesday April 12th from 7pm to 9pm, at the Burnaby Arts Council on Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby BC. (beside the Shadbolt Centre). Please enter the Arts Council through the side door at the basement level.

Judging from her performance in the Playhouse Theatre Company’s production of The Fantasticks, which has been so well received that the show’s been extended to Oct. 30, Greig will have no trouble landing her next role.
