It’s one of the best-loved musicals of all time: the tale of strict Captain von Trapp (Steve Maddock), his seven children, and the rebellious, warm-hearted young woman (Bree Greig) who changes their lives, all set against the backdrop of 1930s Austria and the looming shadow of the Second World War.
Footlight’s production, directed by Lalainia Lindbjerg Strelau with musical direction by Monique Creber, features a large and talented cast (52 people in total, chosen from 200+ auditionees from all over the Lower Mainland), accompanied by the Michael Creber Orchestra. With costumes by Christina Sinosich, set design by Marshall McMahen and lighting by Des Renard… don’t miss this top-notch production of a beloved family classic!
