Front of House Volunteers for “Grand Central Station” – Vaudeville Varieties 2009 at the Burnaby Village Museum
Footlight Theatre production of “Grand Central Station” opens June 21st in the Burnaby Village Museum. This original show, written by Wendy Susan Stuart, features several Footlight Alumni along with many new local talents. This year’s Vaudeville show delivers quality family fun and showcases many family songs from the early 1900’s.
Currently we are looking for volunteers to work the front of house. The show runs on Sunday afternoons from June 21st to Labour Day and also on Canada Day, BC Day and August 15th. Typically the 30 minutes Vaudeville show runs on the hour at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Front of house volunteers’ duties involve seating audience members for each show, directing Museum guests to the theatre, assisting audience member who arrive late or may need to leave early from the show as well as collecting donations at the end of the show. It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon. As a volunteer you get free entrance into the Museum for the day and can enjoy the exhibits and vintage carousel between shows.
If you are interested in volunteering for front of house, please respond via e-mail at vaudeville@footlight.ca.
